A Whisper To Shakespeare

I begged my senses to cooperate
And help me unleash a tribute for you
Later I shall thank them with what I shall thank you

A career that floated on drama and poetry you enjoyed
Lifting the arts of drama beyond the thrones of literatures
And literature admits it cannot even now forget your shows

You gave them sweet tragedy and comedy
Taught what you gave, and how to treat them
And sowed them in wherever manner that pleased you

Fiction and legend fought over you in fierce history
Claiming your stories to tell and seal
Stories that acted upon the genres of men's lives

Listen William to my whisper
Yours and George's engraved name on England's bosom
Vowed your legacy's imprisonment never to bear
