A Sonnet

I scribbled the original version on 31/03/2016, but I rewrote it completely to this one.

Seeking The Lord, Jesus Christ

Winds of devotions over us blowing
Whirlwinds of life our faiths testing
Unlike the Jews, supplications we sang communicant
Before the living spring of life we knelt insignificant
Our petitions on our lips like a mustard seed
Lead us not into temptation our creed
Like the builders’ rejected stone
Let your spotlight grace be our cornerstone
We with sins’ family have played
And our redemption to stupefaction delayed
Now we yelp like a sinking ship
With struggling breaths, in iniquities dip
Dear Jesus, cleanse, seal us in your paradise please
When you come again with bliss, O Jeez
