The Workaholic
Work is my portion gaze
Throw not a defence to my services
Even to my lazy service
Nor hide work from me
Pay me later let me have the job
Work is my regular chore
Distract me not when I am on it
Disturb not my concentrations
Work is my obsession
I am addicted to work’s wish
The fruit of my leisure appointments
Schedules neither missed nor jumped
My hands also eagerly kept for handwork’s duty
Work is my meal
My daily bread is more work
I am a machine, and work, my engine oil
