Elegy To My Grandma

Sat I like a praying sculptured art
Sadly beneath a gibbous moon
Reciting poems grandma taught me
With tears running down my cheeks

Irksome insects gossiped and sang
Non-tuneful and distracting noises they gave me
Not bothering me
Grief was the thing that worried me

Moonlight tried to console me
With her happy breeze and pleasant shine
Causing me to forget my sorrow
A tragedy that my head must learn to bear

The tragic story this is
Brought upon my remaining life
I had to bear her permanence
Whilst reciting my late grandma's poems
