A Wait Of A Lover
Unusual this time
As I stood at our spot usual
Normally I looked up
Something’s idea developed
Not of the birds encircling
Four kites schooling
Two pigeons going home
A hawk at work monitoring resourceful positions
Ouch! I had jammed my jottings
‘Cos he’s in my heart with me
My man is yet not here
I need him to be here now
My heart is progressively anxious
Scenes raced at and out of me
And out of calmness I’ve ran
Surely the path to me he’s travelling
Let no harm deny him of me
No, how can I think such
He’s coming
‘Cos he’s in my heart with me
